Why: No clear politics
The photographs were explicit and damning Marcos Santana was right: no one would believe that he and Sharley had not been having an affair the pictures said it all. Sharley knew there was good reason for the blackmail. The labor disputes in Marcos's Portuguese vineyards and the merger with her Godfather's English Corp. would blow up if the pictures were released. There was no alternative but to destroy the photographs scandal value. They must get married-quickly! The marriage would be in name only, but would Marcos's girlfriend, Teresa understand that?
